Yoga translates from ‘yudge’, which means ”to connect, join and unite”. It is the connection between your individual consciousness and your inner self. This creates an extremely deep connection with body and mind.
-
Yoga benefits the physical, mental and spiritual bodies.
Yoga refines and stabilises all of these layers of your being.
Yoga works from the inside out, when you begin to experience that deep connection within, it affects what you do on the outside.
Yoga positively affects how you interact with other people and creatures.
Things that used to bother you, may not bother you anymore.
Yoga develops your ability to concentrate and focus without distraction.
Yoga takes you out of your head and into your body, helping with anxiety, depression and much more.
This practice greatly aids your happiness, health and spiritual evolution.

An open mind and an open heart.
At the core of yoga is personal transformation, it is all about change. Therefore, by having an open mind and willingness to learn new things, you are able to fully dive in and gain the maximum benefits from your practice.
It is important to mention that a desire to turn inwards and explore your inner-self will greatly enrich and deepen your yoga practice. As yoga is the path of transformation, it can help you to become aware of and weaken any negative habitual behaviour.
You do not need to be flexible in your body to practise yoga, this is a common misconception. Yoga is all about self-awareness and observing self-talk, it does not matter if you cannot touch your toes. A by-product of yoga is flexibility in both the body and the mind.
Due diligence is also important when beginning a yoga practice so that you can gain momentum and then the practice can become easier over time and results can be fully experienced.
